Please note that a new form CA 61-184 (Proof of Theoretical Knowledge Instruction) has been developed to address the requirement of SACATS 61.01.10 ‘In the case of an initial writing of a subject, proof of having undergone the required knowledge instruction training signed by the Chief Ground Instructor or alternatively his or her designee of a Part 141 approved training organisation’
The form will replace the certificates or letters from ATOs that are currently being utilized to fulfil the above Technical Standard. Do note that from the 14th of September 2026 only CA 61-184 form will be accepted as proof of having undergone the required knowledge instruction.
