The current regulations require Human Factors. Please note that AME licensing will start
implementing it from 1 January 2010. 2.
All examinations written at CAA for AME’s will be valid
for 12 months from the date of passing the examination. If this period lapse, examinations will
have to be re-written. 3.
Instructors rating for AME’s may be applied for but
will however only be enforced on 1 January 2011. Unavailability of online examination system Please take note that the CAA online examination
system will shut down on the evening of the 21st of December 2010
and will be reactivated on the 3rd of January 2011. During this
period no examinations will be available at any outstation or approved test
centre. We apologise for any inconvenience caused Foreign Licence validations and conversions An applicant for the validation or conversion of a foreign licence for
use on South African registered aircraft is required to submit his or her
valid foreign licence as well as a valid passport when applying for the
