Synopsis
 

 

1)The pilot stated that upon landing on the gravel runway at Roodepoort, he made an “Error of Judgement” during  landing with the tail wheel type aircraft and the aircraft nosed over.

 

2) The wingtip, vertical fin and airbox at the engine were slightly damaged.

 

3) There was no injuries

  

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Probable Cause

 

The pilot admitted in his report that he made an “Error of Judgement” when he landed on Runway 35 with the tail wheel aircraft and the aircraft nosed over.
