Synopsis

|
The pilot was
on a cross-country exercise from Queenstown to Bloemfontein, but got lost.
Approximately 3NM south of Umtata, he experienced an engine failure as result
of fuel exhaustion and carried out a forced landing on a gravel road. The pilot did not sustain any injuries and
the aircraft was not damaged during the landing.
