1. A Helicopter Pilot was arrested for flying without a valid licence.  On Monday, 29 August 2011, the suspect was arrested while in company of his legal representative at the SACAA offices at Waterfall Park in Midrand.  At the time he was consulting with personnel of the Civil Aviation Authority in an attempt to obtain his medical certificate. He was charged and to appear before the Pretoria magistrate court on Wednesday 31 August 2011 and his case was transferred to Limpopo.

2. A student pilot failed to write his commercial pilot's license examinations within the allowable time and requested an extension on the grounds that he was sick. It became evident that the medical certificate he presented was false and the man was arrested and charged with fraud. He appeared in the Midrand Magistrate court on 30 August 2011.
